Persona 2's localization is incredibly odd. The PS1 version of Innocent Sin was never officially released in English, and the PSP version of Eternal Punishment also never received an official English release. As a result, Innocent Sin's PSP version and Eternal Punishment's PS1 release are the only Persona 2 games to hit North America.

This means that, for years, English-speaking countries were only able to play the sequel game (Eternal Punishment), since Innocent Sin is the first game chronologically.
