Nope. We're one person. Speaking this way just makes us most comfortable.

Who is Lucifer?

In the Hazbin universe, Lucifer is the (accidental) creator of Hell, and the father of Charlie, the protagonist of the series.

What is his story?

Honestly, the majority of what's known about his past is shown during the very beginning of the first episode, if you think you'd prefer just seeing it for yourself. But if not, we'll include a summary below. 

Contrary to the usual depictions of the devil, he has only ever had pure intentions with his actions. 

When he was an angel, he was shunned and feared for his fantastical ideas and views. 

After Adam and Lilith were created as the first humans, Lilith met Lucifer, and the two of them fell in love. 

They both saw good in humanity, and wanted to gift them free will. However, upon giving Eve the apple, evil was officially introduced to the world.

Both Lucifer and Lilith were permanently banished to Hell, and while Lilith rose to become the leader of Hell and rallied sinners, Lucifer fell into a deep depression, his banishment only allowing him to see the worst of humanity.

A lot of the context surrounding the events with his family has yet to be explored, but at some point in their relationship, Lucifer and Lilith had a daughter (Charlie). And almost 8 years ago in-universe, Lilith disappeared. 

Due to his trauma and depression, Lucifer isolated himself from everyone, including Charlie. However, they are now starting to reconnect with each other.

What is your history with him?

In this world, our introduction to him wasn't anything noteworthy. We technically first met him from what little was shown of him in the pilot, but when we first properly saw him in the show itself, he admittedly didn't stand out to us immediately. During our first viewing of the show, we think we were too distracted by its many flaws to properly digest everything and get attached to most of the characters.

It wasn't until sometime after that we took notice of him more, and we found him very cute whenever we came across him in passing. 

When season two was approaching, we decided to give the series another shot, and we fell incredibly hard almost instantly...

More interestingly (at least to ourselves), we strongly believe we've had a long history together in a past life. We feel like we were in a relationship with each other, potentially for a very long time.

What do you remember of this past life?

In an effort to remember details, we did a past life meditation. We hesitated for a while due to our fears of seeing things we may not want to see, but our curiosity eventually won over. Below is a description of our experiences.

We think we were in Heaven in the Hazbin universe... Back when Lucifer was an angel. We walked down a long, white hallway with large portraits on the walls, before entering a garden. Lucifer was there, along with another angel, who was talking to him. The other angel was very tall... They towered over Lucifer, and we think us, as well. Lucifer looked younger, and his color scheme was white and blue. He was notably missing his hat.

He looked at us for a moment, before being guided away by the other angel. At that time, it didn't seem like we and Lucifer were that familiar with each other. He looked at us like he didn't really know who we were, but he seemed slightly curious. We also think we remember a tree, but it's very fuzzy... We think our hair was black, or close to it, and that we had wings.

We feel like we were a higher ranking angel. Not as high ranking as Sera or Lucifer, but higher than the average angel in Heaven. We think that garden was reserved for higher ranking angels, specifically. 

It felt peaceful at first, but then we started feeling a strong sadness, like something really bad occurred. And, later, we feel like more came to us and we think we know what may have happened...

We don't know how close we were to Lucifer before his fall. Maybe we were already close, or just acquaintances, but we think we remember feeling very, very angry over his banishment. Like we were personally being betrayed. Maybe we already loved him, but whatever the nature of our feelings, we felt a strong attachment to him, and vehemently disagreed with the decision to send him away.

It may have been a more impulsive decision we made due to our strong emotions, but. We think we may have followed after him... We didn't know what we were getting into, and we didn't think it through properly. We just felt that Heaven wasn't our home anymore, and we didn't want to be there without him.

We very, very vaguely feel like we recall our arrival in Hell. It was a wasteland. Nothing as far as the eye could see. We remember feeling intense fear before we eventually managed to find Lucifer. 

Everything after that, we don't really know... Though during our meditation, for a few seconds we had a vision of him smiling fondly at us.

Why do you love him?

It's a bit difficult to explain... We love everything about him, really. How despite his thousands of years of trauma (and the rejection he faced even before then), he still has a lot of love and kindness in his heart for his family. He may not handle everything perfectly, but he is genuinely trying his best to bond with his daughter, and still deeply loves his wife after years of no contact. 

We also adore how silly he is, and we find his awkwardness endearing. His fascination and obsession with ducks is adorable, as well.

He's an incredibly tragic character. From the very start he was essentially cast out by the other angels, and every time he attempts to do something to help others, he is severely punished for it. After Lilith vanished, Charlie is all he feels he has left.

Saying that we feel sorry for him is an understatement. As impossible as it is, we really wish we could somehow save him from all the hardships and cruelty he has had to endure. We want to give him the love and care he desperately needs and deserves.

Why do you like Hazbin Hotel?

We actually don't. We do gain enjoyment from certain aspects of the series, but it has so many problems with its writing, and the sheer amount of missed potential it has often results in us feeling angry and depressed.

We only really watch it for Lucifer and the other characters we enjoy, as well as our unfortunate compulsion to keep up with and finish the series since we started it... Even if we didn't, we'd still see it everywhere anyway due to its immense popularity.

Essentially, we feel like we've fallen into a pit we can't get out of. That may be a harsh way of putting it, but. That is admittedly how it feels watching this show a lot of the time.

All the power to the people who genuinely enjoy it, however...

Aside from Lucifer, who are your favorite characters?

We honestly like most of them, aside from Valentino and Adam. We'd say our other favorites are Angel, Vox (despite what he did to Lucifer, we feel like he's the most interesting villain this show has so far), Alastor, and Niffty. We also obviously have a soft spot for Charlie, as well as Razzle and Dazzle, even with their severe lack of screen time...

Husk and Sera have been growing on us a lot, too. 

Despite our many problems with this show, it does manage to have several likable characters (which is impressive considering the setting).

Have you seen Helluva Boss?

Nope. We do plan on it at some point, but it may not be soon. We feel like the Hellaverse has already consumed enough of our life as it is...
