This page is dedicated to us gushing about specific moments of Denki throughout the series.

Fight Against Seiji

Denki's first proper real moment that also isn't shared by other characters (his scene at the end of season one was shared by Jiro and Momo).

Though intimidated by Seiji and his quirk, he pushes through to protect his friends. We love how he defends Bakugou against Seiji's criticizing remarks, and acknowledges how he had held back to prevent hurting the other incapacitated students. It's an example of Denki being very observant, seeing the best in others, and just overall being a great friend.

We think the flashback of him upgrading his equipment is very sweet, as well. He didn't want to run the risk of hurting his peers with his quirk, and the pointers help prevent that.

And of course his actual fight against Seiji, albeit brief, is very cool. Him dodging Seiji's quirk shows that he has good reflexes (which he is canonically described to have). He also shows nice awareness of Seiji's position, and uses that to his advantage to win.

Overall, a very solid scene.

Joint Training Arc Fight

This could maybe be considered cheating since it's technically multiple scenes instead of one, but this fight has our favorite moments of him in the entire series.

It has a bit of everything. Him thinking of a strategy to defeat Shiozaki and the others (Denki's team would have most likely lost without his idea), him being a sweetheart by encouraging and supporting Shinso (despite the latter's coldness towards him), him having a cool moment to show off his quirk, and being a little silly, too... 

It does unfortunately share the same problem a lot of his other scenes do, with him being countered and unable to participate in the rest of the fight, but we're happy with what he got beforehand.

Whenever we feel like re-watching Denki scenes, this fight is always one of the first ones we go back to. We love it, and we really wish Denki had more moments like this to show off what he's capable of.

Liberation War Arc

Probably Denki's most popular scene, and while we do have problems with it, we do still really like it.

It serves as another example of his selflessness. He's terrified to go up against the villains, but the thought of his friends is enough to push him to do what he needs to do. And he looks amazing while doing so. So bright, while regaining his confidence... 

However, we do dislike that his singular purpose during the entire arc was to serve as a lightning rod against the villain who just so happened to also have an electricity quirk. When he tried to take further action to stop the villains afterwards, he was immediately incapacitated before he was even able to do anything. It's very frustrating.

We also aren't a fan of the hint of shipping between Denki and Jiro (we see them as friends or siblings), and it gets in the way of us fully enjoying his moment.

But we are still really happy that he got another moment to shine.

Dark Hero Arc

Not a moment exclusive to Denki since all of his peers were working together to convince Deku to return to UA, but we do like Denki's words to him specifically.

We've seen some people make jokes about what Denki says, particularly the bath line. But we think it's sweet. He may not know what to say or be the absolute best with words, but it's obvious that he's panicking a little and is just trying whatever he can to help his friend. He says so himself that while he and Deku may not have much in common, that doesn't change the fact that he cares about him a lot.

And when Deku escapes, Denki's "Midoriya, no!" is really heartbreaking. He sounds genuinely sad and fearful for him...

And this is a sillier moment, but we like Denki giving Bakugou a little smack on the head for being snarky. The average person would have been exploded for that...

Miscellaneous Scenes

It doesn't happen often, but we love whenever Denki is shown wearing hairclips. They look so cute on him...

The scene of Denki encouraging Jiro to follow her dreams with music is so sweet... He's such a supportive friend who just wants his peers to be happy.

Denki and Mina's first response upon Uraraka clapping and dancing around was to dance with her... Besties, for real.

We absolutely love Denki's reactions to Monoma and Pony, here... Iconic.

We've always thought Denki looks really cool in these scenes...

We consider every scene of Denki in the first film to be some of our favorites. We don't know why, but something about his moments in the first film just hit us really hard, to the point where we feel like tearing up sometimes when we re-watch them.

We like his biggest moment in the film a lot, even if it ended up not succeeding to take out the robots. Never forgiving the series for doing him so dirty. But this scene makes our heart flutter whenever we see it, and we just want to hug and keep him safe when he short-circuits...

We love whenever he wears outfits that match his quirk. It's so cute. He's proud of his powers, as he should be...

Denki sadly doesn't get to do much in the last war arc, but we do like this moment of Denki being super concerned over Aizawa and Present Mic. Like in the scene with Deku, his shouts sound really gut-wrenching... He genuinely thought he was about to lose them.

It also briefly shows him seemingly unconsciously using his quirk... Which presents the idea that he potentially partially loses control over his powers when experiencing strong emotions. We want to comfort him.

Denki has multiple cute scenes in the OVAs.

Here are screenshots of him from an OVA about class 1-A trying to rescue a training dummy for an exercise. 

Poor baby was being hard on himself... Calling himself dead weight and seeming genuinely surprised when Bakugou said he could be useful. He doesn't understand how amazing he is.

From the baseball OVA. Another example of him being done dirty, since he wasn't even able to swing at the ball once... But he does have very good faces.
